We're shaping a new generation of female Tech Leaders in Sicily.
Coding Women Sicily is Edgemony‘s initiative, made possible by scholarships offered by partner companies, empowering Sicilian women to join Coding Bootcamps and kickstart careers in software development.
Only 1 out of 10 developers is a woman.
In the last year, technological progress has accelerated at an unprecedented rate: in Europe, there are approximately 500,000 missing software developers; in Italy, almost 135,000.
Looking into the future, in less than 5 years, an estimated 149 million job openings are projected in the Tech field.
Despite all Tech companies’ interest in hiring women, the gender gap in the technology sector remains striking.
Italy’s ranking with reference to the gender gap dropped from 63rd in 2022 to 79th out of 146 countries in 2023.
Women are significantly underrepresented in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workforce.
- Only 1 out of every 8 women becomes an engineer.

The Coding Bootcamp briefly
The Coding Bootcamp is Sicily’s first intensive program capable of transforming you into a Software Developer in just 5 months.
By the end of the course, you’ll be capable of developing Web Applications with a focus on the Front-End.
Working in teams on real projects using Agile methodologies, you will be ready to be hired by companies like TUI Musement, Facile.it, Subito, Musixmatch, Caffeina, for remote work, or by local companies like IM*MEDIA, Giglio.com, Coderblock, Ludwig, Aitho.
You will be able to do the work you qualified for, without leaving your homeland.
